Thread: CTR vs ITS

    CTR vs ITS

    Hi all,

Currently considering either a current model Civic Type R or a Integra Type S and would like to hear other's opinion and experience with both cars.

Both are great handling cars with similar power/torque figures,

    ITS - Power: 154kW @ 7400rpm
    Torque: 194Nm @ 7000rpm

    CTR - Power: 148kW @ 7800rpm
    Torque: 193Nm @ 5600rpm

Would the ITS handle better since its rear suspension is Independent by double wishbones, whereas the CTR is Torsion beam?

Which would be the better car to drive?

the CTR would be quicker and feel nicer to drive , produces its peak torque 1400rpm earlier so you can accelerate and feel power without having to wait as long in the ITS

im assuming u guys are talking about the FN2R?
    then:
    FN2R: 1345kg
    DC5S: 1230kg
    (from redbook.com.au)

btw would you consider another option --> EP3R. heard alot of good things about it.

heres something from topgear comparing ep3r vs fn2r:

    Correct me if im wrong!

That extra weight would vastly kill off any advantage of the torque. But you can always get more power!

why not to wait for the FD2R? There's a rumor that the FD2R will be available in AUS.
