Do it yourself and fill them with urethane

Failing that I can source you either new mounts, or put in new rubber inserts or fill them with urethane

What would you like and where in Melbourne?

New mounts would be good but I don't want to spend too much. Are you thinking of those Hasport ones that's $400 for 3 B16 mounts? I'd rather get OEM if possible? I'm in Bayswater which is near Ringwood.

Which Sikaflex. Cause I went to bunnings and there's 2 different types. I spose it doesn't matter eh?

depends on your preference my man. check out the shore hardness on their website. standard rubber mounts are around 40 you should probably go harder like 50-60.

you do know youll gain vibrations in cabin right? if you dont want this effect its best to get either 2nd mounts or brand new ones. i suggest wreckers.

Well I was thinking either new from honda or just new inserts from an aftermarket manufacturer that u press into your old mounts to replace the old rubber...

or gut the current mounts and fill with urethane

i've never heard of reconditioning engine mounts nor do i think its worth it, they dont even cost that much 2nd hand, and sometimes they give you warranty on them(wreckers).
FYI you dont replace your old rubber with inserts. They are as the name suggests inserts. The fill the empty space in your engine mounts to lessen movement.
and you dont gut the original mounts either i mean you could but its not recommended as you lose the hole positioning. sounds like you dont know what your talking about drew, i suggest you go research up on 'engine mount fill' and 'engine mount inserts'

    1:
order a two part polyurethane in your desired stiffness rating:
    http://www.solidsolutions.com.au/index.php

    2:
get a set of used mounts for your car, doesnt matter if the rubber is cracked

    3:
    fill them with the polyurethane

and wait a week for them to set

    4:
swap the mounts and sell your old ones

My car had mounts filled with urethane when I got it and IT SUCKED!!!! For everyday driving the car rattledand shook like shit when sitting at traffic lights. Got new mounts now and sooooooooooo much better.

Only good if it's a race car.

sorry to hijack the thread but can someone please elaborate on the difference between hasport mounts and inserts?? i'm currently running mugen mounts and thinking of putting inserts just so it stops engine movements a little more than just the mounts
