See it this way, you don't own this forum... and if the owner doesn't want you to sell things if you're new then you gotta just deal with it and earn membership and then you can sell.

Ozhonda doesn't want to be blamed for when new ppl sell stuff and do it dishonestly (i.e not as described or not ever shipped) and other members lose money.

Hey guys, I've never worked with vinyl before so do you think it's possible to black out the chrome bits on the original grill?

The grille is a noticeable area so I would like a really great finish!

That's how I see it. Not so much here, but on overseas forums, there have been many instances of bad sellers and even fake group buys with new users signing up, promising great (or even realistic/decent) prices, and then disappearing. If someone has been a long-term contributor to the OH forums, they're less likely to be here just to pull a quick one- whilst there is always the risk, it's much less.

And yes I'm aware there's a reputation system but not everyone pays attention to that.
