Hang on! Does the EK9 have the mouldings on the bumpers? If no then why do the americans want a JDM look if the type r doenst have it? If you just coour code the bumpers would it look ok or would it look like shit?

    OK Let me try...

    99-00 EM1, EK1, EK9 are compatible... (no mouldings)

    96-98 EJ8, EK4 Are compatible... (With mouldings)

When changing between bars from 99-00 spec to 96-98 there are some things to consider:

    - Headlights are different shape and look
    - The bonnet lines on a EK4 are different to say EK1 or 9 so the grille won't line up and the bumper will look off...

Maybe you can go to a bodykit specialist to have one made up or remove the mouldings and get it filled and resprayed

EK9s don't have mouldings for both 96-98 and 99-00 models. the american's want both the ek9 and ek4 jdm looks, so moulded bumpers are jdm to them and are rare/hard to get items over there, making them more 'cool'

So all those people here who want to get rid of their bumpers w/mouldings can trade them off to people in the U.S....with an inflated cash adjustment of course..
