Strut Bar options for DC5 2005

What options are there for front strut bar for DC5 2005+ preferably one that'll also fit a gruppem intake. I bought a CUSCO strut bar recently but on installation realized it only fits DC5 prior to 2005 due to the difference in stock strut bar.

Your stock one is more than enough to tell you the truth.

ITs better than most of the bars out on the market.

You have to be careful as the face lift and pre face lift have totally different brace points for parts of the braces.

The braces are also totally different design.

As i said stick with teh stock one its more than enough.

Nopes CUSCO didnt fit due to an extra bolt as Chi said, heres a pic to show it. As you can see the strut bar is totally different design from 2005 onwards.

As Ive said, Your stock one will do more than most of the strut bars on the market.

Your strut bar is connected to part of the strut tops, chasis and the firewall area and its a one piece bar.

It will have less movement compared to alot of bars on the market like spoon, cusco, Js racing etc etc since they are just from strut to strut and are joined by a single bolt on each side.

In theory it the chasis was to flex enough to cas the bar to flex, your stock one will have much less movement compared the single bolt which can flex more easily.

Only bar I would recommend you replacing your stock 05+ one with is the carbing 4 point strut bar or Cusco titanium 4 point.

Thats if you got he money for it.

Otherwise you will be wasting money on a strut bar that will do less for your car.

Save the money for sway bars or put it towards a nice set of coilovers imho.
