problems with dc2r steering wheel on dc2

    hi all,

Recently put on a dc2r steering wheel on my dc2 and the SRS light always is on while i'm driving. The yellow harness plug is not compatible with the dc2r cable for the SRS airbag.

Any1 knoe any sugg. or alternatives?

it could be your srs module that is faulty

from memory I think the older DC2 had the SRS ecu in the wheel rather than at the bulk head.

you can confirm this bu looking at the yellow connector from the car that went to the original SRS airbag. it will have 3 pins not 2

if this is the case there is no way you can leagaly make the dc2r wheel work.

would you be able to change the connector yourself, i mean diy the plugs, to get the srs working?

well it does have 3 pins instead of 2... thats why they don't connect... not sure about DIY... maybe just trial n error until lights come off... what do u dc2 guys do when u change the steering wheel?

there is no way to make it work

you would have to installed the dc2r srs loom, fues box, srs ecu and clock spring

    cost would be very high
