    importing

just wondering, i was looking on the site where it has the SEVs list or w/e thingo for importing. and it says.
"Entries on the Register will be varied to exclude all vehicles 15 years old or older."

Does this mean we cannot import 15 years or older cars? Well i know that we can't import a eg6, but how about eg4 - 5? is that possible? as there alrdy driven in AUS. If it is, what needs to be done, and how long would i roughly take to drive on the streets.

But i heard that the car is tuned for jap streets, environment bla bla, hence u can't.

I believe you can import cars that werent sold here locally in car dealers. The best bet would be to contact J-Spec as they are the specialists when it comes to importing.

its not that you cant, but jap cars are designed for their weather and more importantly their fuel, australia has shit fuel compared to europe and japan, so it could cause more complications from these factors down the track than if you took the time to source one locally

a better example of the weather is older jaguars, their motors arnt designed for our heat in australia, they are designed for english cold lol i had to replace the water pump and re-enforce the fans and cooling gear with Holden parts to make my Jaguar XJ6 run ok in the heat at summer time, sure they are ok if you keep the garaged most of the time but for a more active car its not great, its a common problem that the Jag cooling systems from the older models die hard in Aus heat =/ and after having my Jag i would be more inclined to own a honda lol it really wasnt that spectacular

man it took me roughly six months of shopping around before i purchased my DC2, don't give up so easily =)
