They're good LSD's for what you pay for. My mates boosted 'lude runs one, very nice.

The only thing is you've gotta open her up and check the stacked washers inside. I can't remember the order and which ones face up or down, but that's what you've gotta look in to. It's doable by yourself, but be prepared for a bit of work.

Honda-Tech fellas use these all the time and they've proven to be pretty strong over and over again. I'm 'splurging' on one of these for the H22A when I get some more money in .

there are a few generations of the OBX lsd... there is a thred about it on honda-tech. there are a few differneces between the two... like colours in the material... apparnetly there are 3 generations of the obx lsd, and the newest (3rd) is the best. best bet would be hunt one of them down... but first find out how to distinguish it.

short of getting the box off - its quite straight forward pulling the box apart , installing the new diff and putting everything back together. Grab a online manual or search h-t etc
With a few good hours of DIY you can have one done easy

    any special tools required?

assuming all tools are on hand as well as a step-by-step manual... whats the rough guesstimate of install into the box excluding the time to remove/attach gearbox back into car?

well - get it off - you know how to do that now

to take a gb apart you need a pair of needle nose pliers and a few sized socket pieces + extensions + compatible ratchets. Time consuming.

Also you should really replace the ISB , diff bearing/s , countershaft bearing + seals etc.For a first timer with a bit of knowledge and all the right tools about 4-8 hours with the GB. + time for the gb removal / install

well if anyone is interested the OBX has a few problems, even the new ones, but apparently so long as you strip them down and put them together properly it helps alot.

THe latest problem is that the material of the LSD is abit soft and has cause some issues with some cars getting axles.

    Have a read

    or

    DSP26 - got quoted about $1k.

Ben - doesn't the box need to be pressed out once you have it out?

That thread you referred to was 2006. There have been a few changes since then.

any hint at the price you'd be selling them at?

lsd+install packages available? or even said shim kit, etc...

Slightly irelevant question... noticed your website... i was under the impression you worked at the same place with Joe at Minchinbury?
