    the only ever time i ever saw 450kms in my car was driving to Canberra... never ever do i see the kms people are seeing here... i suppose my foots is a bit heavier than others

    my dc2 was getting 450kms out of a tank, and it was boosted.
    lol.
    city/traffic driving as well.

    i dont get it really... ive had mine since new and it has under 65k kms on it... it's the way i drive.... i suppose thats what happens when you drive it 1/2 a week...

    My cars awsome... It makes petrol (180RON) everytime I hit VTAK. So, I never run out of petrol.

    Rubbish. No xr6 on petrol is going to get down to the 6.7 litres/100km my dc4 gets on 80% highway 20% city runs.

    I getting around 320 to 350 out of a tank
    Thats heavy traffic in the morning on the motorway and a nice open run in the afternoon
    I would love to be getting close to 400

    Wrong, my manual states 50L.

    I regularly get 8-8.5L/100km without trying, this includes a few good squirts. My best was from Melbourne to Adelaide, 3500-4000rpm most of the trip still gave 600km before the fuel light came on, which still allows another 50-60km.
    Also bear in mind that Type R's have a lower final drive and at cruising speed will have higher rpm and therefore use more fuel.

    I just read my manual and the restraint bolts to the rear of the boot, I remember removing mine after purchase as I don't have kids.

    i've hit 570 kms by accident, highway driving and didn't realise the next petrol station was 150km away.
