Slow and steady H22A build for EG

    Hiya,

I thought I might post up a little something since I've stopped working on the H22A for a while now. Not many people know about it yet since I haven't spoken much...progress has been really slow after starting full time work so yah But, now working full time...I've got some money now to continue it over weekends hehe...When I'm not with my GF that is lol

So yeah, here's what I have so far:

H22A1 Stock Bottom and Top End
Stocky Gearbox (couldn't get an LSD box rare as)
    Skunk2 IM
    Skunk2 66mm TB
    JVT Header 4-2-1
    OBX LSD (on order)
    Avid Racing Mounts
Koyo Manual Tensioner Conversion Bearing + Kit from Honda

I've hit a snag and I'm sort of unsure what diameter to use for the remainder of the exhaust. I'll be using a metal cat from X-Force, so now I've gotta figure out what diameter I need. Would 2 1/4" been fine? Or do bigger engines like the H22's like something fatter...like a 2 1/2"?

Hopefully I can get all this on the road with a new re-spray at the end of next month!

Thanks in advance for your help!
    Nick

yeah to big unless its for drag I'm sure that header I'd 2.25" at the merge so that will hold it back if u do any head work
BB6 Prelude H22A4 CP 11.5:1 pistons, eagle rods, shaved deck 12.3:1 comp, Type S cams, lovefab header, s200, 65mm TB, 2.5" through...

ill be going 3' on my h22a. 2.5' is just weak! but in your case.. 2.5' for sure. I use a 2 1/4 on a 1.3L. No loss in power.

i was going to build a h22a and sold it as im now looking for a kswap. when looking in to headers and exhaust. i was going to run lov fab with a 2 1/2 inch. this was from some great advice, but my only problem was a standard 2litre k would run a 3 inch no worries, yes it revs a little harder but im sure this will give you something to think about. if your doing some light mods just go a three.

3" it is then, gonna have a sports muffler hooked up instead of a cannon...Got EPA'd recently lol Nice cop though, talking cars with him

Probably just get a gutsy sounding twinloop or one of these:

    Sexy

    Whatcha think? Noice ain't it?

Thinking of ordering a shorter gear set for the Accord box I'll be fitting. Heard they're quite long...and better for turbo's?
