fwd g/boxs r easy to put in.... i did it and new clutch in a day
on a da9
so the thermastat was fuked because of to much coolant and not enough water???
so was it ur coil that was broke or ur dizzy?? (ignition module?)
the guy at work he used to work for a speed shop and hes done a heap of rally cars and he rekons use king springs. i dnt think skunk2 r that good imo either...
im not complaning with my king springs, there very good...and yeh i dont think thats why it was screwed as the temprature sat on cold all the way home otnight, tomorrow it will be replaced!
well it sits a lil under half way normally....then all of the suden wen id be driving for a whill it will gradually fall all the way down to cold...then id stop and itd go up a lil for a while etc..ill get my mate to check it tomoz...wheres the sender anyways
Yeh I bought them through pickles and fowles auctions. I think theres a grey DA9 with a rear hit in a melbourne auction soon. Google for their sites, their web pages are pretty good.
A fwd gearbox is not easy to remove in comparison to rwd. And remember a day is 8 hours of labour at $40 an hour thats $320 and good luck getting a mechanic for under $50 that knows his stuff most are 60 - 70 up here.
A quick question. Anyone here have done a Da9 Swap to a JDM B18C type R? i know that the wiring will need to re-do, how about engine mounts? can our DA9 drive shaft fit the B18C R engine? Any other things that i need to pay attention too?

Regards
wire wont need to be re done just purchase a conversion harness from obdo ecu to whatever the jdm b18cr is, and will have to use stock da9 drive shafts? engine mounts are fine.
i did a b18c conversion. make sure who ever does the job knows about honda's and sticks to the quote price

correct me if im wrong,
So that means if i don't wanna re do the wiring i just need to purchase a conversion harness from OBDO ecu or for OBDO ecu? So Da9 drive shafts shd be able to fit into the b18CR rite?
another question... our da9 gearbox are using cable whereas the b18cR gearbox is using hydraulic... would i face any problem on later stage if i put in the b18cR gearbox onto a da9?!
