    unfortunately i dun have another 2-3k to spare...i did think of that but cant afford the extra cash. plus i didnt think that i could get a brand new vtis for 22k

    but if u cant afford, just buy a seocnd hand in good condition will do

    Rather save my self a few ks as 2nd hand market providing good saving at the moment. Vti-s 2nd hand are $20,000 on 2nd hand market for a 1 or 2yr old manual model.

    I guess the reason is because your car actually build in 1999, but stored it in the dealer's place for few months (Of coure, the time period of storing can't be too long.). And then the first owner of your car (may be u) bought it in 2000, so the dealer will tell the transport department of your state that it build in 2000, that's why the rego showes it is 2000. I know some dealer do that, and i guess it is a common way.
