any comments on TS-W255c pioneer subwoofer?

hey guys, i came across 2 x 10" TS-W255c pioneer subs. wondering if they are any good or if they are p.o.s's.

would they be able to pump and decent bass?

Depends on your audio requirement..... to some, it will sound decent, to some its a POS..... to me, POS....

Try go for a single 12 from a sub/speaker/audio company... JL, Image Dynamics, Adire, etc

i'm not running competition gear, just splits off the standard HU and want a little more bass.

i'm after a deep bass, not a punchy sound, hate that gayass punchy sound..

Go to the shops and ask them to let you test various subs... then compare and get which one you like.

generally if ur just after some more bass then yea by all means just get them , just make sure u give it the right amont of power and make sure the box is designed for them subs =]

tron is refering to u go to shops and test out new subs and see how u like them, but if u can get these pioneers cheap and of ur not fussed about quality then by all means go nuts

i just remember having 2 12" pioneer subs, i believe that were the cheapest around $40 for the sub itself and they were the worst subs ever..

i'm not just looking for more bass, i want decent bass. hopefully these do the trick. would $80 be cheap?

    ah ok
well what i suggest you do is find out some specs about them old subs, most of the time the reason bass dosnt sound good is because of the enclosure that they are placed in. sealed or ported it just dosnt matter it just needs to be the correct dimentions and size for the sub to operate at its best and the amp you will run it off.

do u have an amp to run this sub/s?

i guess it's a matter of simply hearing them go.

yea i have a Rockford 201s, hoping it can power the pair of subs.

hard bass = 10" = good for music with hard high frequency bass
good overall =12" = good overall freguency bass
low/soft bass = 15" = good for deep and low bass (but i find laggy at times)
