Oil seals on B series (b16)

Guys my B18CR is leaking from the passenger side, as it appears and as I've been advised its from the main seal. Is this a common problem? Is it expensive to get this seal replaced? Motor is in EG HB.

rear main seal?ive heard they are pretty common prob with b series. ive replaced mine twice.

RMseal is very common with porsches too. The head seals and pumps etc. all have new seals, but not sure about the RMS. All I know atm is that the leak is coming from the left side of the car and is leaking down onto sump and all making it horribly greasy

same here. The sump gasket itself is 40 odd.

best to try clean it up, then take it for a spin and let it sit for a while.. then check it to find where its coming from.
