Good tyres for Euro 17" Rims

RE040 is decent, RE050 is very nice (new STI comes with RE050A, old STI came with RE070). RE001 has best bang for your buck as it would most probably be the cheapest out of the 3. I am using RE001 on my car.

There is. I think grip-wise, it should be RE050A > RE001 > RE040.
Price-wise, RE050A > RE040 > RE001.

Like what Type R positive said, they are OEM tyres. RE050 is also OEM for the Liberty and a few others, but the RE050A is OEM for the new STI and I think also the NSX Type R.

Although RE040 is more expensive than RE001, it doesnt mean that they r better rite? just because they r OEM tyres?

That's right. More expensive doesn't mean better. I can offer you DUnlop SP2050m which costs $280 for 205/55 R16, and they are right up there with Nankang. I prefer Nankang over SP2050m
