Had enough of this low bussiness

Hi, have not posted for a while. anyway as the title sayi have had enough lowness. Dropped my car in today to have it rasied back up to a "DRIVEABLE" height. Currently i was running on Tanabe springs and koni adjustables, on the highest setting my car was sitting about 5-6cm from the ground measured at the bottom of the headers.. Coke can only rolled inder by like 2 mm... lol

So currently i am putting in STOCK oh no STOCK springs on the lower pearches on the konis. So hopefully it will still look good at what ever height it is going to be at. From there if it is a bit too high i wil purchase a set of eibach sport lines or whatever to be where i want it.. OK so for now here is a pic for where it sits untill this arvo.. ok there you go, i will update with pics when its all done...

How stiff are your Tanabe's? I'm starting to think about more comfortable lowering ideas (my current springs are pretty f'n hard), and i might be interested in yours when they come out...

Well Dominik they are not a rock hard springs they are quite comfortabel actually, even my car being that low it was still an ok ride just not enough suspension travel to get around town (roads here are SHIT) Those springs on matched shocks would be ideal height for accord for lowness/comfort. Reason its too low on my koni shocks is the fact that they have a lower perch then stock shocks..

C'mon guys - you're not supposed to be raising your cars!!

I'm trying to live through you guys with the dumped on it's ass lowering.

Stiff ride? Who cares, you're young, you'll grow another spine, and those fillings can be put back in.

Common sense has finally kicked in!... u will be amazed at the new places u can go and how fast and carelessly you can drive over a speed bump! haha

But wouldnt you want to buy a set of springs to have them fitted now? it would save you some money on installation unless its dirt cheap.

I think the main problem is that accords dont look as low as they really are. Thats probably lowered close to 4" at the front, maybe 3" at the rear. So the headers/oil sump/cross member is dangerously close to the ground. I had the same problem with my celica...

Also, it has a relatively long wheelbase, so it scrapes over speedhumps, and when you get to the top of a shopping centre carpark ramp.

Anyway, the reason i'm bitching is because my last car had air suspension. I could have my cake and eat it too - Low when i want to pimp, and raise it up when the roads get rough.

With my accord i'm fine with the lowness, i can get most places no problems, and anywhere else i drive my girlfriend's Echo (though i am tempted to lower that too ). Its just the harsh suspension annoys my gf, and anything that annoys her ends up getting on my nerves too...

Man, exactly the same with my car.

Doesn't look too low, but it really is

last wkend... i've scraped 2 driveways and a speedhump on the way to work...

all on the front lip thou... mines about the same height as yours...

People allways look at the distance between the guard and the wheel and say shit thats low. But doesnt low realy mean how far the car is of the ground??? Take for example all the Pullstarts lappin around wheels under the guards, but car still like a 4WD height.. Anyway to get an idea boys roll a coke can under the front if it hits your very low, mine missed by 2mm.. anyway seeya
