SHERIFF RX3 Goes straight to No1 In A/M

Last night at WSID the newly built SHERIFF 20BPP RX3 went straight to the number 1 position in the All Motor rankings with a 10.1 @ 129mph. This car is absolutely insane. It is in a different league to every other car that has raced so far in the All Motor class and has set the standard for every new car that may appear.

For those that don't know of the car, see pic below.

So with this car and 3 other rotarys now taking it to the field where does that leave us Honda guys? Its fantastic for the class that someone like Craig Wasson (owner of the SHERIFF RX3, original owner of MR12A the fastest 12A in the country) wants to build a purpose built car for the class. It will give the class a huge amount of exposure (it already has started) and make a lot of people take notice that may not have before.

So what is happening in the Honda ranks? Anyone building something that can possibly run 9's like this car definitely will. This RX3 will definitely run 9's and probably run into the mid 9's at Jambo, if not before.

    Does anyone care?

I'd like to hear peoples thoughts on what this all means for the class we all pride ourselves on being a major part of.

I care... good on him and all... but considering the chassis etc, it should be running a lot lower than 10s with power

Give him time. You know as well as I do that after 2 meetings and a couple of full passes that these times are not indicative of its full potential. When it ran last night it didn't sound like it was reving very hard and it seemed to lay over in the top end somewhat.

This is great news for the all motor category! It's good to see people are still building purpose built cars for the class.

I hope this will push the honda boys to go faster and built new cars. It will also give the class more attention.

I'm looking forward to looking at this car up close at Jamboree and I hope we see the first 9 Second All Motor pass in Australia!

I saw this run last night, what a weapon. I thought his mates R100 was quick but the RX3 was even quicker. It was a bit of a hand full for the driver as you would expect. Im sure its good for at least a low 9 sec pass.

I reckon its a 20B PP, it sounded like no other rotor i have seen. (who needs pistons!!!)

I love my rotary's Grumpy Rooster, I used to have a series II RX7 with a 12A Turbo with a Savanna kit, I was young then and only realise how much of a beast it was now.

Cant wait to see it run again on sunday week, and at Jambooree.

The only problem is money issues! No one really has enough money to spend $xxx on this and not put it somewhere else like a house or something...
