What should i do? (94 EG Civic Hatch)

i have a 94 EG civic (as the title says) and i'm looking to get a cat-back exhaust for it. Many options!!! been told not to go for the ebay option as this is a waist of money. Been quoted from $240 to $780 for exhausts. the $240 is from Performance Exhaust in Ringwood (Melbourne) and im likely to take that path unless anyone has any better ideas.

catback on that engine will get you so little power you probably wont even notice it.
if you want the sound just get your rear muffler replaced to something of your taste
if you want power, save money and try later, with a different engine

im 21, im planning an engine swap in a couple of years time, possible B16 or B18 (whatever i can find at the time in the best condition)... i've got a mate that will give me 4-2-1 extractors for free for a D15 engine so im thinking i will do this in the mean time. I've done some homework and and apparently this will give it some more power (according to members of civic-eg.com). Im new to civics and any help is much appreciated.

ps: mars_panas, had a look at the link and it helped... cheers!

280 for a catback exhaust? wow thats a steal bro haha u wil probably get more performance out of an intake.. even then, by more i mean 1hp over the exhaust which will take your whole gain to 2hp.

Dont waste money on it, there is a good chance the exhaust system will sound like arse anyway.

i have to agree aye~dont waste money on doing up engine if you plan a swap later on~cause the gains are like 1-2 horsepower =600 bucks.

just get car rims and springs~(or coils) and do body work~sways~strut braces.
imo i found this is the best way to go about it ~when you planning a swap later on.

i reckon just change ur muffler... cost u about 180bux....

headers wont give u much more power.... u just end up spending money for nothing..

Save ur money for ur planned conversion!
