Hmm... I wonder if that improves throttle response on drive by wire. I'm inclined to think the throttle delay is more artificially imposed (at least in the auto).
The Mazda3 has DBW and they're saying its made slight improvements to the throttle.
For those who don't know sprintbooster is a little module that gets installed near the pedals for dbw systems... it basically is an amplifier, making the dbw smoother and more responsive... they claim it makes the car more fun to drive... i was just wondering if anyone has tried it yet.
I'm gonna have a trial fit... but they are pretty pricy... and i'd only consider it if it makes a massive diff.
999 Automotive have it... or should have it by now. But they were quoting $550 i think from memory, which is a bit expensive. But they'll do a free trial fit so i can drive around and see if its worth it.
keep in mind these sprintboosters ur talking about dont actually add any HP at all.
it basically just makes ur power curve more linear and the same can be achieved under WOT.
this device just cuts out the lag from what DBW gives because DBW filters out abit of the response as u may go through bumps at highspeed
these things are pretty expensive given what it does... buddyclub is about to introduce it into aus, and the price is gonna be around $500!
Yeah, no added power of course... just changes the response of the dbw. I'm not expecting great things from it.
I'd definitly want to trial it before purchasing it - as I said, it has to make quite a difference before I'd consider buying it. I just saw i can buy it online off a SG car place for AUS$350.
