Engine bearings

Hey guys,

I need to purchase rod, main and thrust bearings for my nearly complete hi-power na build, all stock sizes but i just want to know what are the "BEST" bearings you can get. Any info appreciated.

If your running stock crank and rods than OEM!! I find that if your clearances are 100% correct, than oil flows much better when OEM bearings are used. Also heard that ACL is very good value for money. Just be careful when buying, I always hear stories from people buying cheap brand bearings and destroying there bottom end. Either the material which it is made of cannot withstand the heat and burns through the oil, or the inner side of the bearing flakes away, again because of cheap materials or incorrect clearence measured.

Thanks for the post, My rotating assembly consists of the following (currently in my bedroom lol)
95mm forged 4340 Eagle crank
Long forged Eagle H-beams to suit new ERL raised deck
All parts are brand new.
I dont wanna go cheap on anything so i just want to get the best bearings i can.

Sorry mate I assumes stock bottom end. Never worked with those sorts of goodies before so cant really help you. Good luck anyways.

i'm using nascar clevite bearings in my build.
turbo b18c2, 180fwkw atm, no problems what's so ever, been 4000kms already as well.

only one best option... honda oem, get the size to suit your clearences, if there good enough for irl then they are for us, no point going to something like acl where its like one size fits all

Wat u mean one size fits all? all the parts im using are new so i dont need oversized or anything, What bearings are the hardcore power makers using?

If built right, Clevite's, ACL's or OEM's will do the job, bearings don't fail, engine builders or their machinists fail.

cool thanks guys, i think what i was trying to get at is different bearings with different coatings like king bearings and different oiling chanels and things like that.
