You need to get one on a really twisty road to full appreciate it.
Otherwise they might feel a bit average.
I have some roads where i go motorbike riding and have been taking my crx's and tegs since the late 90's. i have swapped with a mates WRX club spec or sport ?? on one of these runs and the s2k is miles better.. more fun anyway.. you can brake so late into corners throw them around and get all side ways... but i think you will miss the torque of the STI.

Let us know what you think though.

Can't really compare the cars as its like comparing apples and oranges! Just keen to see what the s2000 is all about.

ive had a few hondas in the past; namely em1, dc2r and now ap1. I was pretty dissapointed with the ap1s' torque down low; guess thats what you get from over rated word of mouth. can't say I was dissapointed when vtec kicked in though.

    i agree.

s2k is over rated in terms of power

My brother (LVNIT) turbo'd his old VTI-R coupe so there is no reason why I cannot turbo the s2k.

I don't think its over rated.. a 1200 kg car with around 180 kw is never going to be that slow. The handling + the engine Makes for an awesome car.. but you can forget how good it is when you're just plodding around in traffic.

    it's definitely not 'slow'

but compared to other performance cars out there, i used to own a s15 and a dc2r & i find that the power in a dc2r is a lot more usable for daily driving

s2000 power comes in too late for my liking, but definitely 'FEELS' fun to drive

Just thought I would give a quick update! I've driven an S2000 that was forsale here in Canberra and loved it!!! Unfortunatley it was in poor condition so I didn't end up purchasing it. However, the good news is I have sold my STi so I'm currently in market for an S2000.

Will probably take a while to find one, as I’m chasing a low km black, or white s2k.

    Cheers,

    Dayne
