yeap.
ill have to speak with the trader to see what he can do...
im thinking the CL9 intake might work...test fitted the pipe and everthing was
alligned. airbox looked exactly the same.
okay so i have a new problem.
i went to put on the cai today
how i solved the retangular hole was easy
bought a sheet of metal and cut it to size.
drilled a hole for the IAT plug and to stop
air from going out, used some rubber between the cai and the plate.
the oem wiring for the IAT plug was not long enough to reach the
cai, so i spliced it, and added more wiring so it could reach the distance.
after four hours of work it was done
time to give it a test drive (did it at a friend place & i had to go home)
and to my shock my malfunction indicator lamp lit up.
so i read the manual and it said i shouldn't take it to WOT and should
see dealer asap.

CAN ANYONE HELP? THANKS
planning to put my stock airbox in tomorrow
and will see what happens
Use an OBDII code reader to find out what code it is.
Could be an error from your IAT if you didn't solder the extension properly.
but use the OBDII reader.
as aaron has said it could be your solder joints not done properly, or are understress, recheck your soldering and check that no wires are shorting each other.
what a OBDII reader? hahaha sorry really noob at this stuff.
the light has turned off now? so is it all good?
thanks
Google "OBDII reader" and you'll see what it is. Connects to the port underneath the coin holder area.
The light will turn off but the code is still stored in there. The light would most probably come back on after a while. Let us know if it does turn back on.
It looks like the IAT sensor is not in far enough so it's not getting a true reading. Re-do your plate so the sensor is further into the new pipe making sure the tip is exposed to air flowing through the new pipe and give it another test.
In or out, the difference should only be a few degrees C, which shouldn't trigger a CEL. Instead of putting it deeper, maybe he needs some sort of insulation between the metal part and the sensor.
