just wondering if ricer-blue silicone is safe to use to connect the coolant tank to radiator? it reckons you shouldn't use it for fluid but the oem black tube appears to be made of a similar material?

mmm but its only cheap silicone tube, rather than the hardcore silicon shit with like samco hoses and stuff. i think ill replace it now and if it breaks all that will happen is coolant will spill. not a biggie

Things to look for would be to make sure its not perishing or melting and is not leaking (fluid or air). If the hose has a hole in it - the coolant won't be able to be sucked back into the radiator when needed.
If it starts the melt or perish - replace it immediately as the car may overheat.
