yea your master cylinder is leaking alright. Dunno what that plastic bit is but it just looks to be the steering column cover i think, so it shouldn't be too much of a worry if it is. My eg doesn't even have one

yeah the black thing just covers the steering column. Easy to replace if u wanted to.

had the same isssue on my ek.
fixed it up, didnt take too long and only costed less than $100
shouldnt be too bad mate.
