lol option 2 is looking like the winner here! lol

i did some investigating with one of my spare tail lights... its nearly impossible to remove the lens cleanly (the plastic is physically melted to the reflector) so ill have to drill the LEDs in from the rear... using a drill press i can do it without slipping past and into the lens, but im worried about the plastic spalling falling into the housing and me not being able to get it out...

positioning is also going to need careful planning, obviously i wanna get them spaced evenly, but i have to avoid the plastic bracing and mounting points on the rear of the light aswell...

ill try make a prototype this week if i have time :P
