    Which fuel is best?

Hey all, just wondering what you think is the best fuel for the Civic FD1s? I recently purchased my car and topped it up with BP Ultimate (95) and only got 400km from a full tank. I called my dealership and the service dude told me that it was a bit worrying, but I should expect that from a new engine. I also saw on a previous thread that BP fuel burns the quickest.
Basically.. wats the best out there in terms of longer lasting and better performane for the vehicle?

91Ron ftw! Seriously, no point using 95ron fuel when the engine is designed for 91. A guy here called Buddha gets 6.something litres/100km ... better than advertised!!

My car has done 10,000km.. and still gets 400km before the fuel light comes on. Don't forget when the low fuel light comes on then u still have about 10 litres left in the tank.

    So chillax.

I thought 91 was for older model cars?
i mean this may sound like a dumb question, but just because ur getting more distance from 91, does it mean its giving you better performance (not affecting the engine in anyway etc.)

Ultimate is 98. Premium is 95.

premium wont necessarily give u better milage but your engine will love it more than regular unleaded. just keep in mind that ur civic is tuned to run on regular however if u decided to fill it up with premium.

negligible performance increase but in turn u give engine healthier dose in long run.

my 06 civic can travel around 500-600kms per tank easily with regular unleaded i.e. 91RON and it has 14k kms milage atm so i don't see why u can't achieve similar result

milage heavily depends on how u drive ur car and other factors such as tyres pressure, etc. check these first. it doesn't matter if u fill it up with 98RON and u caned it at each traffic light u still get crap milage

    hope that helps

Want to know the truth about fuel?

98 Octane will show best results IF your car is performance oriented. For example, an Evo or a C63 AMG. 98 Octane on a car like a Civic FD1 will not show a huge amount of difference vs. 91 Octane. Test it out and see for yourself if you don't believe me.
