[CU2] All euro owners, which premium fuel you use??

so far this week after filling up with bp ultimate. with aobut 65% highway 35% city/suburban driving. i ahve an average consumption of 8.8L/100kms. with about 1000kms on the clock. altohught it is probably me just getting used to the car and driving it more smoothly and not hitting vtec this week.

I have the superceded one, build date Feb 08. I feel nothing that represents VTEC but rather a linear power curve all the way to redline.

i think that would be the I-VTEC...applying it when needed or something. read somewhere about it kicking in lower down but not really noticeable. correct me if im wrong. but i think on the 08 and earlier its 6K RPm for vtec?

No, both cars have the same i-vtec. 03-08 is at 6000rpm. not sure about 2nd gen model switchover RPM.

Huh?! thats a bit funny..
I clearly noticed the power from 5k rpm till 7k rpm.. Again, its not the type of push you get in turbo charge...but you certainly can feel it.
Try from 1st gear to 7k rpm, then 2nd gear....

Vtec switchover in CU2 is 5K.CL9 is 6K

You know that's a scam, don't you? You save 4c/L at the pump, but when you buy the groceries/merchandise from the shops to get the dockets, you more than pay for your savings at the bowser.

But, most of us exceed $30 anyway when we buy our groceries. So we might as well get that 4 cents off.

and you can pay that lovely annual fee too.

I've tried all the 98 fuels and have found them to be pretty much the same except for Shell which i found to get a little less Ks per tankfull and not run quite as smooth as the others.What we need is a test done under controlled conditions on the Euro with the various 98 fuels.

You mean you acctually dont buy stuffs from Coles or Wollies??

I usually get my fruits and veg from the market as they are cheaper, and others stuffs from coles, kmart, etc....
