I want a light tint, would one coat already look pretty dark?
How much to get professionally tintied? I had all the windows tinted for 300 so it cant be too bad. At least then u wont stuff up your own lights
Crapdaz, i got the smoke tint sheets from ebay and i stuffed up too. First time doing it and never again! Ended up wasting the money
i had tint vinyls on the rear, they are way darker than spray. unless you coat it heaps.
anyhow, with vinyl, you should use a hairdryer to warm them up and squiggy it on, as i learnt from my mistake after coming home from work/uni at about 7-8pm and trying to attempt it.
what a total phk up!
snypz - the spray isn't bad try it.
autobarn is pretty much out of sprays i got the last one from arncliffe and auburn didn't have any and didn't know when they are getting it.
try repco and ask for Nightshade (brakelight tint).
i had overspray going on to the paint on my eg.
for some reason i cleand it with fuel. and seemed to work.
no damage was done to paint work.
fuel doesnt strip paint.
Yeah there is. Go on ebay theres always some for the TSX. Its cut to shape as well so its a perfect fit. Problem is getting it to fit nicely lol
I dont think i want to tint the rear lights. Im thinking about removing the amber off the front headlights for a cleaner look. Will see what i can do. Any ideas? (little off topic )

with that i guess you can use it but safer would be just a claybar.
Darkness looks fine but you really do need to put a decent quality gloss clear coat over the top. Looks cheap and tacky as it is. Once you hit it with some clear coating and give that a polish so it's as shiny as factory then it will look good.
To remove spray-on tint from plastic lenses what you want to do is WET SAND. I would strongly advise against using any chemicals to attempt removing it, you are very likely to ruin the plastic.
Gently wet sanding with a very fine paper soaked for at least a few hours (1500/1200/2000 grit - try the least abrasive first) and then polishing the plastic will restore it.
