    Gearbox problems in 90 integra

    was doing reverse doughnuts and all of a sudden i cant change gears properly now, it crunches most gears and its really hard to put into gear.
    anyone got some ideas,

    similar thing happened to me, except i wasnt doin reverse hellies.
    Does it act differently when its hot or cold?

    crunching gears is a sign that your synchros are gone. I ended up having to replace my gbox.

    Time for a 2nd hand gearbox. Plenty around.

    check the oil might be burnt... change oil first then c what happens...

    its strange but, when i double pump the clutch it works fine, im puzzled

    yeah sometimes when your at the right RPM range it sometime sworks fine but mainly my mid gears are gone but its mostyl third but thats correct double clutching does work fine

    I miss my old DA9 :0(
    Must be something to do with the Idler gear for reverse or the oil couldn't handle the Helical cut on the reverse gear so now the syncros are playing up.

    I'd say change the oil and wack in some manual geabox treatment, I think Nulon make such thing, if it doesn't work then take the box out and replace it with one from a wrecker.

    expect to pay somewhere above $500 bucks.

    i find it weird the helical cut gears will do much to it.... im fairly sure there straight cut anyways... thats y u get a whine when u reverse....


    change the oil when u over heat it it breaks down so when things break down they become thinner...

    haha thanks i got it checked out and it was the clutch! it was cracked in half lol
