    why dont ITRs have the front lower tie bar like CTRs?

    i think we are all getting mixed up a little

    Strut tower bar (you will only ever have 2 on your car) is the bar that runs from the top of the strut towers to one another.

    Lower Tie bars are the bars that go between each lower control arm.

    The brace that you are talking about at the rear of the boot near the tail lights, as far as i know is just additional bracing, i dont know any special name for it...

    the silver/grey looking bar that runs near the tail light is called a boot brace.

    no i mean the lower FRONT tie bar. as in under the engine joining the LCA's.

    Good luck trying to find an oem rear tower brace from a honda dealer cause ive tried everywhere and they dont get them for DC2R anymore, if you find any anywhere let me know.

    that sounds exactly rite to me.

    this is a rear strut (not itr tho)


    the rear itr strut tower bar was optional like everyone said, and if you're after them try some of the traders here, like tanghy, z10, hondar, etc...

    tiebars = Swaybars or stabilizer bar

    Integra type r's do have them.

    so someone correct me if im wrong.. i thnk i got it..

    strut= tower bars. connects the two towers to each other ontop of engine.

    sway bars = tie bars = underneath car. can have rear and front ones, joining the LCA's.

    is that right?

    yup thats correct, but i havent heard anyone say tie bars or tower bars before.

    mostly, sway bars and strut braces.
