    yeah, previous owner over revved it while not tuned probably. I think it was about 9-10k rpm. I'm actually considering getting the bottom end built a lil while the engine is still out. But hopefully ill be able to source some parts out by the end of the week.

    OEM rods can handle 8800rpm..

    oh nice, someone was telling me b20 redline would be about 6k.. weird

    youre confused about the meaning of "redline"


    all the "redline" is where manufacturers feel that the engine starts to become weak. thats all it is.

    then you have the revlimiter which is a bit further on, and pysicaly stops the motor from reving anymore

    I rev my B20VTEC to 8k rpm daily.....


    As for the OP's question the low end torque should make it an excellent daily driver
