    Wanting a weekend warrior!!!

    Hi guys,

I was thinking about getting a weekend warrior so me and my chickybabe can drive since she also needs a car to get to work.

I was thinking about getting a 180sx, yes i know its not a honda but no money to get a DC5R.

Any ideas what i should be looking out for the 180SX as i've seen carsales and they got low mileage ones going from under 10k-15k but what i am also scared is that they are defectable and damage etc.

Getting it checked out by........ if they have been in accident etc.

Opinions on this one --> too expensive?

Please advise me on this matter thanks.

    Exactly

Look around the radiator supports for weld or bog..

And also tap around the back fenders to hear dead / flat sounds.

    A magnet helps!

Look into importing one, sometimes there are some good ones. But it's a lucky dip!

    May I also suggest this,

    Never under estimate this nugget!

and for you to do that you have to take the car to a specialist to check it?

cause you won't be able to do it without a hoist right?

how much normally to get a guy to check the car?

well a RWC should point out the defectables (if any) and a REVS check would tell you if the car has any fiance or if its been written off (whether statutory or repairable)

Read http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showpos...95&postcount=4 in your relevant state will give you guidelines to legal modifications (if you don't wanna fork out the money for a RWC before you buy the car)
I haven't driven a Honda in years. :/ Does my honda lawn mower and whipper snipper count?
