smaller rims have more sidewall and more flex in tyres (static and dynamic) so the drop will be slightly more on smaller wheels.

Also , do you have your tyre dimensions ? 17's would be hard to be the exact circumference and diameter as 15's on 195x55x15

If to correct pressure and profile it should be almost exact, if not a few mm.

My tyres on atm are off iirc, from memory they are 205x50x17 on a 7.5" wide rim.

    So they are stretched.

    Here is an interesting example.

    Comparing to say 195x55x15 size

Your size described above is (in perfect psi and tread) 63.1cm (overall) where the 15 inch is 59.4cm . Thats 3.7cm difference in height.

Shit, made a typo in my original post. Like I stated I think my tyres are off.

I just checked on 2 tyre calculators and it appears my tyre has almost the same diameter. *note I did a typo in my op I ment 205/40/17*

lil_foy , yeah my point is smaller rims will pretty much always make a car lower than larger diameter rims - mostly because of the larger sidewall. With everyday driving the tyres will squish and deform and often bottom out too.

    good link DNS
