Concern with new wheels

Hey, just purchased a set of 19" BSA rims and after putting them on and driving them.. the rims are boiling.
and also there is some sort of solid black grease that is coming from between the rim and wheel. any ideas?

uhh that doesn't sound too good. what do you mean by boiling? like heating up a lot?
What tyres do you have on them?

like hot man, i wouldn't expect the rims to be that hot
i have hankook k104s on them.

your cv joints may have the rubber boots torn....and the grease is leaking out. Get it checked by a processional ASAP

what's CV? is this dangerous?

Its the driveshaft end , the CV transfers the engines power at the entire movement of the suspension and steering. CV = constant velocity.

see the rubber boot ? that might be torn and leaking grease from te inside

in the picture the big massive thing in the centre with the ripples is what they're talking about that will rip.

just to clarify another thing to see if it may be the OPz problem.

Can it be the possibility of lube being trapped within the rubber that was used to slide the tube onto the rim more easily?
And in relation to the wheel being really hot? Can that just be the lube heated up transferring heat into the Chrome and also on a warm day which wasn't helping it either.

boys, i just realised it's the grease or lubricant they use to mount the tyre onto the rim...
and the heat came from being in the sun ... and since chrome gets hot easily.. it explains why it was hot.

yeah man, my bad.. i forgot to mention it was chrome and that the grease was coming coming from the side where you can see the rims..
i'm really crap and explaining..
