JDM or AUDM i don't care. HP is HP.

10 extra HP at the fly and almost twice the price isn't a good deal.

b18c if you wanna spend the money, or b16a and save some dosh.

Aus spec might be watered down but JDM is over rated IMO

At least with Aus spec you can find out some history for the engine and have someone told hold accountable if it's not what they said it was.

In japan cars are cheap so you get people that either can't drive or don't respect their cars buy them thrashing them and then flogging them off

maybe when u guys actually get some jdm motors u will understand
so what if it has log book doesnt always means the motor is well looked after
best to judge motors on their merits not a log book

I had a ek4 b16a conversion with bolt-ons for about 4k. Should of bought that...

But yeh, on a serious note, for bang for buck, ill get a b16a conversion and add a b20 vtec bottom end. Works out to be around the 6-7k once its all done with a fresh bottom end, plus its makes more torque than the B16b

    Goodluck with your choice

ryan, u are prepared to pay too much.
Seriously I highly recommend you to get B18, even B18C2
due to the fact that i got 16B with cams.
    Few things to be noted:
Change all the seals if possible, include cam seals, RMS, Sump Seals etc
Change timing belt, water pump etc
    Change clutch and flywheel.
all together will roughly total for 8-9k installed for B18Cr

if I was to find the B18C for that price Im there, but on another note if I have to change all the seals, water pump and timing belt the price for what I get isnt really worth it imo, seriously I can get some very nice rides on the market for over 10k if I was to change seals and what not.

I'm still very keen on the B16B, I'm just goin to drop it in and see how we go, keep the std clutch for awhile and just bolt up the aftermarket exh.
