and i have no finger gap between tyre and fender.
and as i said it really depends on what kind of rims you get.
too many factors come into place when it comes to rims.
just look at the sportmaxx rims.
    has a 0 offset.
    sticks out like a mofo.

its better to roll the guard. unless of course u have no problems with the current set up =]

Rolling your guards is as simple as hammering the insides is it?
home job - roll ur inside guards with a round bar

proper rolled lip for low offset rims while slammed $40-50 a corner.

    no hammer involved

    205/40/R17 have enough clearance

    just not on springs/stockshock combo

low offset looks much better then cheapo/replica +40 rims

Currently looking into ebay now actually... what you guys think about these
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Skunk...spagenameZWD2V

Seems too cheap? These over springs?
so these would ok with stock shocks? not great but ok?

because i really want something height adjustable but dont wanna spent money on coilovers for a street only car.

The car is just about un-driveable right now. It sits so low that the tires are tucking. If I turn any direction, the front tires rub. It sits so low the the exhaust cannister knocks against the lower control arm when I hit bumps. It pulls right under acceleration and left while braking. The front end also vibrates under hard acceleration. It didn't do any of this before and I had cheap coil-overs on it.

I've heard that Skunk2 springs are low, but I havn't read where anyone couldn't drive their car on them. Has anyone else had trouble and what did you do? "

Apparently new bushings and LCAs are also needed.

    Second thoughts...
Wish i saw this post earlier...I have KYB AGX w/ Spoon Progressives and the drop is too low...front tyre is is level with the wheel base and rear tire is probebly a small finger gap.

I have came to the conclusion that the reason for the severe (much more than expected drop) is because the KYB AGX spring perch sits lower than the OEM one. I have both to measure and compare will probebly do so over the weekend. Will let you know if you like.

    Cheers.

Yo!, decided to just get some info off this thread, rather than starting a new one.

Im thinking of getting the Skunk2 lowering springs off Auto 999, currently riding on stock shocks/springs EK1 '99 sedan with 17"s at 99.xxxkms. Previously was using Kings superlows and my tyres will hit when i tried to do full turn. Just wandering if the Skunk2's are lower/as low/higher then the Kings superlows on stock shocks if anybody know ??

Also, anybody know where i can get these springs installed cheaply in Melbz and how much for the labor ?? (trying to avoid DIY possibly )

    cheers

id say the skunk2 springs have the same drop as the super lows (~2.5")

if u dont scrub with ur superlows id say the ride height is fine. it could be you dont have the correct tyre profile?

my mate and i have the same susp setup with similar size rims (15") but hes 205/55/R15 scrubs more then my 205/50/R15 which clears fine.
