    Thanks Aaron!

I did it again properly and same.

3.25V is the most I can get...

I replaced the tps 4 months ago so I don't think it needs replacing?

The idle is high at 1500rpm and the engine check light is on.The ECU code check brought up a 7,the tps,so no suprise there.

It wasn't like this before...I don't get it.

On a side note,I noticed my fuel pump was whining on and off when the car was switched off and the keys out.Seems strange?

    ARRGGHHHH!!!

Have you had any electronics fitted to the car recently, also are you able to get 5v on the power feed wire? i know your prob sick of taking the tps off over and over but can you remove it completley and measure the voltage with the multimeter while turning it by hand, dont forget to loosen that throttle plate screw if u havent already.

PM me ur number and i can give u a call to guide u if u need.

    Thanks man

I'll try disconnecting the grounding kit, there's no other electrical things that I've added that would have caused it.

    I've got the 5V.

I'll do the by hand test (at work atm). Will that show if the tps voltage will get to 4.5Volts?

    What's the Throttle body plate?

yeah, doing it by hand will let u know if it can go less/more or about 4.5v, the throttle plate is the brass ring inside your throttle body, i think in one of the previous posts you said something about adjusting some screw on your throttle body, if so that will most definatly result in your higher idle rpm.

Ah,that was the idle adjust screw. It's screwed right in.If I screw it out the idle goes up.

I might need to take it to see one of the boys up in Brissy.Hard to do if ya not looking at it.

    Thanks heaps mate!

I will try again to fix it tomorrow but I will just swap in another TB in 2 weeks.

It seems nobody knows this exists on OZHONDA.I've made numerous threads since new years...not complaining just pointing it out.

    Yes!

    Finially done it!!

The tps sensor was not in properly...

I took the TB off and cleaned it up and adjusted/fixed the spring on the bottom (FITV),put it back on and I could get a .46V reading at closed throttle. The max reading when my mate foot his foot on the accelerator (WOT) was 4.35V.It should be 4.5V but that's the best it could get.

The car goes great!!! WOOT WOOT!!

The accelertor cable needed to be adjusted too,not too tight,so when you take your foot off the pedal,it should go all the way back on TB,not slightly revving.

Thanks so much Jason for calling me and helping me out mate.Very HAPPY!

Jason, would the voltages be the same for a 89 Holden commodore, fuel injected?
