    > should i do anything else to make my brakes better

    1. Bleed the brakes with new brake fluid.

    2. research "bedding brake pads", which in a nutshell involves granny driving for a week+, then on a quiet, straight stretch of road, brake firmly from, 50 kmh, then coast to cool down, repeat for 60kmh, 70, 80 up to about 100.

Rear pads are more difficult to bed in, due to it being harder to get heat into the rear brakes on a fwd vehicle.

I drag the hand brake, very lightly, for 10, 20 and 30 seconds at low speeds, followed by easy coasting to allow the rotors to cool down.

Like I said do the research. There are different protocals suggested by each pad OEM.

    Nick.
