Choose which ever one suits you best, the EG is lighter, strip the EK enough and you get pretty close to similar weight. Depends what application you want it for, since its a firt car, EK would be a better off choice since its newer and theortically all the components throughout the car shouldnt be as aged making them prone to failure.

rich boys rich cars , true to that, all eye candy cars, I prefer to be quicker than a car then to look like I got alot of money, girls just dont know what a HOT honda is, they need to be trained to spot baller status cars, haha.

just say 'MY car > his car, down 1/4' and Ive spent alot less $$ :P

The doubt those chicks even know that vtec comes from honda. I'm not shock that they would say: "oooh vtec! a fren of mine is driving a porshe vti-r...." or "toyota corrolla vtec!" *sweat*

IMO, EK is more rigid that EG. In terms of power, only EK came with the best model (EK4) as opposed to EG stock to stock. (Nevertheless, there's EG6 but not available in Sydney). It comes down to what type of person you are. If you are the performance kind, then foresee that you'll swap your engine in no time. Hence, EG would be a good choice to start with. But if you are looking for interior and exterior and all you want is the power to overtake a taxi, then I'll reckon that you can go for EK (facelift ftw!) and subsequently swap and engine when you have all the money to spend.

I personally think that both EG and EK has their own pros and cons. It depends on the driver than the car I would say. hehe...

    my 2 cents
Rep me if you think it is mechanically sound
