Review: EM1 stock sway bar fitted to EJ8 Civic

Items: EM1 sway bar, OEM end links, bushings, d-bracket, EM1 sway bar brackets
Price: Under $100 (2nd hand sway bar, bushings, d-links)
Parts needed to make it fit:

the part numbers for the Honda EM1 brackets are: 52317-S04-000

the bolts used to hold them into place: Champion High Tensile 5/16" x 1-1/2" UNC

washers on the inside of the subframe and outside of the brackets: Champion A316 Stainless Steel 10mm Flat washers x4

So, I went for a nice drive to test out the difference in a number of situations (round abouts, tight corners, chicanes, etc.) I did notice a good improvement. After a 20 min drive I came back to inspect my work, so I looked at the sway bar install and then saw this vvvvvvvvv

What happened was that the exhaust system was made up years ago as a custom job, and not having a sway bar there in the first place they just ran the line as not to clash into anything for a clear exit. I painted over the scrapped metal, luckily it did not tear thro into the exhaust line. So, on Saturday I’m going to get a section cut out and a new line put in to clear just that section, pics to follow

    Good stuff dude!

While they're at it though, you may want to get them to replace the back-pipe with mandrel bent piping. Looks as though you've currently got press-bends in your pipework (restrictive). But then again, if you're going to do the B-swap it might not be worth it.
