    A Problem + Video

    Video

In the Video I am stopped and all I'm doing is putting my foot on the accelerator and holding it still. You can see how the revs are bouncing up and down.

At idle it is fine. When driving it feels like the car is surging/hesitating.

Anyone had this problem? Know's what it is??? plz.

    Yes I have petrol,it's a new hi-flow cat.

It can still go to the speed limit etc.No problem there.

I will be swapping the TB,leads and dizzy soon.I've check most other things...

So it's the above + petrol pump that I'm thinking to try next.

I really wanted to see, with the video,if anyone has had this before.

    It's like a missfire.

had a similar prob before but in a different car, changed the fuel filter, pump and then throttle body and it solved the prob.

    Hmmmm.Thanks Vinny.

I've changed the fuel filter twice so it's not that.

My mechanic and his helper double checked the timing and said it was right but a second opinion would be good. That was only 2 weeks ago.90% confident in him

    I will try a 02 sensor on wednesday.Still the stock one 100,000km's.

I do really think it's the TB.I've changed all sensor's but it may be something internal.Like the FITV and tps run through the TB,where you can't get to.It may be stuffed in there.

One thing is for sure.I am learning heaps by hunting this problem must stay patient must stay patient must stay patient

100% is not the tb, i replaced mine with a new tb and still the same.

I have the same thing but it seems to be gone now after i changed the plugs.
But i really think that it could be the o2 sensor.

Your car blows out black smoke at high rpm?

Thanks Vtec.I will change the 02 sensor on wednesday.

Since I last mucked around with the TB it has gotten a bit worse, which leads me to thinking it's that.

If the 02 sensor dosen't fix it then I will swap first the leads then TB.If still no go then the fuel pump.If STILL no go I will smash the engine with a BIG hammer!

    Prehaps the injectors are fouled?

Get a proper clean done by an injector servicer. They take the injectors out and clean them properley. That additive shit you put in the petrol tank doesnt really work.
