there are much better and easier places to mount it IF you have your stock air intake removed and have an aftermarket CAI.

do you have an aftermarket air intake in? if so i will take pics and show u where i mounted mine.

If the the window trim is just black plastic coated in chrome, wouldn't it be possible to carefully sand the chrome back while it's still on the car? You'd end up with a black window trim for free.

Funnily enough, with the EG and EK civics the black window trim covers a chrome finish underneath.
