    I got my Inertior Neons from JayCar, and they are working fine off the car. LEDs i think do use more power but at the sizes concerned i don't think it would make to much difference.

    LOl why does it matter if it use more power. ur cars on, its charging the battery.

    Good point.

    Use of power would only be an issue if you were running to much off you standard electrical system?

    ah damn, im in sydney lol.

    but uhm when u connect it to the cig lighter, do u just pull out that metal casing and like you just connect wires together? or is there more to it..

    thats right. black wire is ground. but yeah becareful to tape it up properly
    so it doesnt fall out or short circuit

    thanks for the great offer to help me out mate. I don't wanna trouble anyone too much, but if its as simple as just pulling out and connecting wires to the cigg port...then u reckon a complete novice can have a go at it?

    But I want it to go on and off when my headlights are on and off...i dont think the ciggie port is the right wire for that purpose rite?

    one source can be easily found is, pull the cover out under the steering wheel, you will see a bunch of wire down there, but you need to find out which one is the headlight switch wire, but isn't hard when you got the right tools

    but having them on all the time shouldn't be a problem and much easier solution.
