    Question [CL9] HID Headlight question?

Hi guys, driving (my 03 Euro Lux) home this evening I noticed my left headlight wasn't working. The little reflector lamp does but not the regular headlight. Sorry if I sound like a noob but my old car just had H4 and I assume these are different.

    - the park light works
    - the reflector lamp thingo works
    - the regular headlamp beam does not
    - the high beam works

Looking in from the front I cant see the filament broken. So my questions are:

    Is it broken?
If so, how do I get a new globe that will match the (factory) one on the other side?
How much do they cost and from where?
Is it hard to replace them yourself?

    Thanks heaps

Looks like your HID globe has blown. From Honda spares approx.$240 by memory. You may have a difference in colour between the new and old globe from what i've heard.Or you could go aftermarket and replace both. Not sure if they're easy to replace,i think they are.

It is the HID... lol... you have to live with it...

Try to search for a pair of D2S hid bulbs for replace. Do not just change 1 side as the color will be different.

But to replace the globes is quite complicated in your case if you do not know your car around...

My suggestion, but the bulbs and get it changed either @ dealer or car electricians..

How did you see through the projector lens to see the broken element???

    What is a reflector lamp?

Well I think I mean 'angel eyes' by the reflector lamp.

When you look in the front of the headlight from a 45% angle you can see the bulb projecting and the filament thingo isn't broken that I can see.

Right lol, another development, it appears the headlight I assumed was completely broken appears to be giving out light, just about 1/5 of what it should... is that how the globes go or is it something to do with the voltage regulator or whatever it is that feeds it power? Cheers
