I used 4.2L only on mine. Make sure you have jackstands too. The oil filter will most probably be overtightened, so you will be cursing the day away taking off the oil filter. When you do get it off, check that the old gasket is still on the old oil filter. If it isn't when you take it off, then check the filter mount for the old gasket.

Yeah, both from honda, but they will charge you like $3-4 for a washer that costs 50 cents. Bursons also sells aluminium crush washers.

Hey Felixd.if you just change the oil, it only takes 3.8L,and if you change the oil filter aswell, then you need to put 4.3L.Every oilfilter from honda will hold 0.5L in it.

Sorry to bring up a noobish question, but i didn't feel the need to change the crush washer for last oil change.

Can someone confirm with me that the washer for the oil sump is 10mm?
And also MTF filler and drain bolt washes are 14mm and 10mm respectively?

    Thanks all.

Sorry to bring up old thread.....

I'm putting my car in for service tmr, and I asked what oil they are using. The guy said it is a Valvoline Semi-Synthetic oil that is 'right for my car'.

Now, I remember reading old threads about my car using 'synthetic oil'. Would it be okay to put 'semi-synthetic' oil in?

just have a quick read through that. yfin said he has used synthetic and semi-synthetic so it should be fine.
