Brand New or Second Hand 02 Sensor?

Does it really matter if its 2nd hand?
its for a DC5r.

anyone have experience with this?

get a new one. unless you know the 2nd hand one is a working one.

^^^yeah...

but generally service items like that you NEVER get used unless it was off a new-ish car or if you needed to test and troubleshoot parts....

it's kinda like re-using oils or seals

Like what the other guys said, brand new for sure. If your after a second hand broken sensor, you can have mine.

My original o2 sensor died a while ago (causing check engine light to come on) and the workshop priced a genuine replacement from Honda and it cost was extortion. The workshop sourced a 2nd hand one for alot cheaper and it has been perfect. No problems at all. Better the money in my pocket than someone else's.

of course brand new
a second hand one could be f'd up.

and you'd want a new one so the o2 sensor would be reading correctly and you wont be burning petrol like a crazy mofo!
