Also factor in resale time, i think it will be a bitch to resell an Autech S15. Due to the fact it is an import and there isnt much demand for one...
Sorry i have to disagree on one fact.

that mikey G guy is the biggest shit talker ive ever met..
in the space of 15minutes he sold two sets of wheels. claims a guy under the username DNT-CRY bought them!
Stock vs stock...
It's pretty close but I'd still favour the DC5.
Go & modify both, the DC5 has loads more potential.
The Autech is already tuned & there's not a great deal left in it.
(Has a nasty dissy too)

Ahhhh, I love both. The Autechs go very very nicely.
Too hard to decide really. But S15 with no turbo just spoils it for me. DC5R has more potential as Toda AU has stated. So yeah end of the day i'd do DC5R.
I own an autech s15. yes stock for stock power to weight ratio the dc5r prevails but autech has more torque to back it up. its even got more than the jdm model. 9,000 rpm red line. power peaks more as well. looks is really for you to decide. everyone obviously has different tastes. i'd doubt jdm silvia with full aero kit looses on looks to the DC5R. Autech S15 is literally Spec R fully equipped but missing a turbo charger. better bang for your buck.
i'd do dc5r as my first car.
then move onto turbo's later for EXTRA power when you get used to N/A.
you need driving experience before upgrading to a faster car.
