i saw 2 ep3r's this last wkend - 1 on parramatta rd parked at lights on sunday and other at rhodes shopping center on sat. Both about midday.
Steering isnt that bad - u just got to learn to feel wat the rest of the car is doing as u dont get as much through the wheel as u did before the digital era
May have been me on Sunday if its the stretch of Parra Rd between city and Stanmore.
what does it mean by shit, like not responsive or precise or lack of road feel?
its overcompensated with the eps system and just makes it feel like your not driving the car, your fighting with it. i'm thinking of getting rid of the eps system totally and just run a manual rack no PS.
So anyone wanna organize a meet? Or we could all tag along to a cruise this Friday - meet at caltex at heathcott @ 7:30pm. All u need is a full tank of fuel and be prepared to go for a 2-3 hr drive / cruise through some open roads and apparently some excellent b-roads aswell. Was originally a ford meet but it's open to all an a good chance to smoke some aussie trash lol
I also heard the same. I heard that the ep3s engine mount is fairly weak and is the most common prob for this car. (how much would it cost to replace/fix anyway?)
they are known to be soft and weak, that's why sometimes when driving the car might feel jumpy as such when shifting. there are different mounts available ranging from about $400 upwards + labour depending on the exchange rate.
If you go for uprated ones then there will be more NVH in the cabin, it's a trade off really. When i had my car i went for a J's Racing strut brace with engine torque damper as a stop gap solution and just set it on a low to medium stiffness and it worked well but it depends on what you are using the car for be it just street driving or track work as well.
