    You're right...
It does have the potential to do that.
But I can't vouch that it isn't without issues...

    In my eyes,

I/H/E only requires reflash, e-manage ultimate or haltech interceptor. For $1500 installed and tune the haltech really is a good buy.

Like Adrian said though, as soon as you touch cams etc. you're better off with a standalone.

While an e-manage might get the car running quite well it still can't control VTC. Once you add in the V-manage you're already getting to the cost of a top of the line Vipec ECU. With the dollar like it as at the moment, it's time to look at the local products like Haltech, Vi-pec, Motec, Autronic etc.

Should also mention that Haltech should be releasing their platinum range of ECU's early next year and they should have at least one model that works with drive by wire.

As soon as the drive-by-wire option is made available for the Vi-pec V88, that's the direction I'll be taking.

in my opinion it is. For $500 more you get a tune that is customised to your specific setup. There's no risk of your ecu being fried and having no car for a week either. You can also remove it and sell it at anytime to practically anyone.

I emailed Haltech a few months ago about the gains and they said you can expect about a 12kw gain with a couple of simple bolt ons or two (like an intake or a header).

Yes, that'd be at the wheels.
    Haltech's dyno is a 4wd dyno dynamics.
