they technically are....with a gearbox attached lol.
But power wise they (depending on gearing) will make the same power as double the capacity 4 stroke engine. Feels the same as a cbrr to me , less chance of being thrashed by 30 learners beforehand too lol

yeah, it requires more attention.. but its the case of you put more in and you'll get a lot more out of it. It loves when you trash it
mine is a stock derestricted model.. makes about 28-30hp (yet to dyno)
The guy I bought it from gave me an Arrow exhaust chamber, just need to order a matching muffler and a new jet to suit. It sounds great I think, more so when the exhaust valve opens up
It does require rebuild every 20,000 kms or so, maybe more often if you don't take care of it. Based on my research, its around $400 in parts (that's including new barrel, piston, bearings and gasket set). Also, 2 stroke engine is very simple, so if you are quite handy with tools, all you need is one half afternoon and a workshop manual..
